the clink of a latch
2001-02-22 @ 01:42:31

Anne rice says that vampires can hear you calling for death.

It's a theme that is repeated over and over in her novels.

That the victims, in there heart of hearts, were actually calling out to be slain.

I always make assumptions about those people when I'm reading her novels and that theme pops up.

I always make the assumption that those people (victim just does not seem appropriate verbiage for one who has called for death) I always assume that these unhappy souls lack the guts to take there life in there own hands.

hmmm... Odd the path that the clink of a latch being lifted on one's own patio gate can send your mind down. Even the dogs heard it.

I'm sure you would agree I have an overactive imagination.
