Coal actually, the kind of coal that under the right conditions magically turns itself into a diamond. Jet, is actually quiet rare now. The best of this semi precious stone comes from a specific location in England that I know longer remember. The mine has played out. I strung myself a necklace of Jet and Cobalt Czech glass beads years ago. It seems that my necklace is strung of some of the last jet to be taken from this mine. It's one of the objects I treasure, one of the things I covet, and there are not many. I love that the man I care for is also named Jet. In my eyes he is well on his way to being a diamond. WE ALL FALL DOWN
