WHAM!
Wednesday, Oct. 03, 2001 @ 8:19 p.m.

I find it more then a little amusing that this will make two entries in a row involving insects, and even more amusing that in the last I was lamenting the loss of the insect and in this one I will find such humor at the demise of an insect.

So anyway, I'm sitting in class working on my "what I learned about plants book", cause I always sit down and work with the kids. What ever they are doing, I am doing. So I'm sitting across from T______, righting about root systems when I look up just in time to see a small bug of some kind fall off the ceiling and land smack dab in the middle of T_________ desk.

She promptly lets out a little girl squeal and quicker then you can say "Jimmy cracked corn", pulls her shoe off and slams it on to the poor helpless bug, splattering it into one flat creepy crawler.

Normally the squishing of bugs just grosses me out.

But I couldn't help thinking that as she whipped her shoe off and brought it slamming down onto the bug with about 20 times the necessary force that she looked something like Tweety bringing that huge bat out from behind his back to clobber Sylvester.

My very loud guffaw was followed by the silly giggles that just wouldn't end. I was absolutely crying I tell you!

*giggle*

I love that little kid.
