Tinkerbell's Jedi Mind Trick, and The Sacred Silly Giggles
Monday, Oct. 29, 2001 @ 8:02 p.m.

So, I usually write of The Girls collectively.

It's been awhile since I have seen them actually, but I saw 2 of the 3 this evening and we laughed and hugged, and told silly stories, me towering above them on my roller blades.

I had just rolled in when the phone rang and they said they were walking towards my place. I said I would meet them halfway and headed out the door.

Nothing of consequence, just laughing and hugging as I said, but that can be oh SO important.

You know?

Anyway, the thing is we have this personal joke among us.

Actually they had it among them selves long before the 2 years ago that I entered their circle of friends.

The joke is that Tinkerbell [one of the girls] has hoodwinked us all into thinking that we are shorter then her.

Were not.

She is the shortest of us all.

But somehow, through suggestion, or sheer power of her will we have all at one time or another succumb to it even though bare footed I stand a good 6 inches taller then either of them.

It started simple and detached for me.

I would swear that Tinkerbell was taller then Yuhai.

She is so not.

So tonight, Like I said we were laughing and talking and hugging, me there having to hunker down to them because of the stilt like affect of the roller blades.

We go to give one final see you later embrace the 3 of us all in each others arms

I swear, my first thought was "Whoa! I'm taller then them!"

I was baffled for a split nano second, and then bust out with the silly giggle/guffaws.

They look at me in that way they do when I'm acting the loon.

"What?" They finally say

I finally manage to get it out that Tinkerbell's Jedi Mind Trick had worked once again.

There is something sacred about a chorus of silly giggles, don't you think?
