Dream: Truck Driver Mal
Thursday, Aug. 08, 2002 @ 6:16 a.m.

Mal, I dreamed about you last night sweety. I don't remember much, except that you had driven a BIG huge Isuzu snub nosed diesel flat bed truck down to my small New Mexico, home town for a visit. Like those trucks you see in movies about europe instead of the Semi we have here. You looked fabulous. I think there was a lot of uncharacteristic drama in the house, and I remember Mia was pukeing in the living room, or at least every time we walked on by that spot in the living room there was an additional bright bile-yellow spot of puke on the carpet. When you got ready to leave, unannounced, I put up a front of being brave, but then ran out to the front and hopped up on the side board of the Izuzu and gave you a hug and a kiss through the open window. I stifled a deep sobbing cry, and then noticed that your very small load of particle board was not fastened to the flat bed. But I figured that you knew what you were doing, and didn't make an effort to stop you.

School is going good. I heard a good teacher joke yesterday, but I doubt it would survive the translation from my brain to type. We've been in workshops, and we had a meet and greet with the parents last night. It looks like I'm going to have an adorable group. Lot's of magnet students, which is good, cause a lot of the time they have a real want to be at our school. I'm out of milk so I'm going to have to make a coffee run before work this morning. Which is sad, cause nothing, NOTHING (Peth) is as good as my Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. In other news . . . I met my new doctor yesterday, and she seems way cool. She gave me all kinds of sample meds for the headaches I've been having (evening sinus migraines) and told me just to let her know which one, or ones worked best and she would call in a prescription for me. She seems really good. She was recommended by a friend because she is so thorough, and evidently when you need to see a specialist she has the connections to get you in, like the next day, rather then waiting a month, or two.

The new guy at work has latched onto me. He seems really friendly. Making friends with straight guys makes me nervous. Cause at some point I'm going to get tired of the faced and just tell him which team I'm batting for. He seems like a fairly, socially with it guy, and should be able to figure this out. Case in point, Principal Salsa Del Fuego, told the ladies that they can wear casual dress today, including capri pants. New Guy, says "Capri Pants?" to me, and I'm all, "Oh, there 3/4 quarter length pants, that were IN fashion 2 seasons ago, guys have them too, but they are called clam diggers, but there popularity ended in about 89-90."

He just kinda looked at me, in an eyeing kind of way, then said, "thanks." Later he seemed really helpful, and was pulling all this stuff to share with me, the science teacher. It's all rather interesting really, observing the social dynamics of new people in your lives.

I really want to ramble on , but that coffee I am going to go get really is a necessity.
