I bought Buffy season IV with part of my birthday money on Tuesday and let me tell you I have been good for little else then sitting in front of the boob tube since then. I thought the season opener was a bit, well, lack luster, BUT as the season has progressed I've realized that it's a super important season in the evolution of the mythology of the show. This is the season where the character development and relationships are forged that will ride out the series till it's end in season VII. I have to say, New Moon rising is my favorite episode, and possibly my favorite of the entire series, not for it's themes of coming out, but for its pure and simple expressions of love, and what that means for different people. Releasing wholly-- embracing wholly-- and even having the realization that it's not what YOU want but that it IS best for the other person, and being big enough to step aside [thank you Oz] Anyway, I've just put the last cd of the 6 cd set in, so I'll soon be able to return to the real world. Actually the arrival of this season was well timed. Sam and I came down with some weird viral malady leaving us both with flu like aches and weakness, so much of the last few days were spent in bed . . . alone unfortunately. I didn't even get a kiss last night as Sam said we might 'reinfect' each other. Whatever. Sometimes it's sucky dating a Dr. ;) Hugs:] WE ALL FALL DOWN
