images from the ether

So. There I am. I am Sitting on, what my cousin describes as, my 50's martini couch; Nigella on my shoulder, Mia in my lap, Louie and Zahzu eating breakfast atop their cage, and me drinking my coffee admiring the refraction of light through the avocado tree's leaves out the living room window. This is all a normal enough snapshot of my mornings as of late. I drink the last drop of coffee, the drop before the dredges will hit my tongue, when I look cross-eyed into the bottom of my overly large, Tasmanian Devil latte cup and see a perfectly rendered, as if drawn by a cartographer, view of Australia, New Zealand and the Papua New Guinea Island chains. Now, i've never seen the remotest thing in my coffee grounds before, but all of the sudden I'm filled with excitement and titillation at this geographic formation in my cup. Well, I wanted to snap a picture, but with the merest shake of my hand, it was gone sliding into that last teaspoon of dredge filled swill that was left in the bottom. You will just have to trust me on this one. I feel like Dorothy Gillman's clairvoyant countess now!

Hugs.
