The alter paintings, the O'keefeian fisting painting, and now a series of colorfields inspired by the incredable landscapes surrounding the pertoglyph national monument. Perhaps not a series, but there is atleast one rattling around in my brain with it's desert-acid greens, brought on by the recent rains, and the sensuous, dark, chocolaty, near-black of the volcanic flows . . . some of the rock there has the most incredable waxy, mineral, burnished sheen.
