I hope I can call you Anne, as I feel I know you so personally through the wonderful universe you have created in your books. First, let me state that I am also a Christian. I have to tell you that your letter about your decision to support Hillary makes perfect since to me. I hope your detractors can understand that your position is well thought out and well founded. I have not made up my own mind yet on the upcoming elections. As a Christian and queer man it becomes important to me to support a candidate who embodies Christian values and also fights for the advancement of human rights, including gay citizens. For me, these values are not embodied, currently, in the republican party. The republicans seem to be a party of division. Division of our own countrymen, as well as division of our nation from the rest of the world's great thinkers.
I've been a fan for many, many years. Your books are some of the earliest books I latched onto. I particularly love The Witching Hour, and the last three books of the vampire chronicles particularly resonate me. I'm also a HUGE fan of Christ the Lord Out of Egypt and have advocated this wonderful book to all that I know. I can't wait for your next!!! I love all your universes . . . I wept so when I heard that the vampire chronicles were coming to an end. That being said, I can't wait to see more of this new universe of our living Lord open and blossom before us.
