It recharged my artistic batteries at precisely the moment that I was needing reassurance. Tanya is proving to be my latest angel. My promoter to the art world there. Michael and Daniel were huge fans of the new day of the dead paintings. They really made me feel good. I've been stuck in that space where I couldn't tell if it was crap or great. Their opinions probably matter most to me as Daniel is such a talented artist and Michael the brilliant young talent spotter. The artists he assembled for his gallery, well, the one thing that can be said for sure is that they are some of the best, if not the best, examples working in their particular mediums and styles. So when they both raved about my latest painting, a complete departure from the way I normally paint, well, it felt good to say the least. It's 7:30 which means I have to jump in the shower. Monday's really suck. Especially when the weather people have been saying for a week that we were going to have accumulated snow today which would equal a snow day for schools. Instead you wake up to completely dry ground. Not even damp from rain. That really makes for an even more disappointing Monday. I think I'm slipping into my Winter funk earlier this year, I'm determined not to let it pull me down. LOL. There's some modern day Casanova on the Today show. I swear, the first thing that popped into my mind when they showed his picture, before they announced the headline I thought, "Gay." Yeah, I remember reading some paper in sociology about how some womanizers are actually acting on some form of internalized homoerotic behaviour. Sex with lots of women = sex where lots of other men have been, basically and triggers arousal. Yeah. So, I stand by my first visual impression of Mr. Casanova. Gay. HUGS! WE ALL FALL DOWN

![]() This is probably a love letter. Our work party is at 5 at one of the regions BEST restaurants. I'm sooooo excited. I found a really great recording of the Lord's prayer in Aramaic on iTunes set as a intermitent chant to a background of the sounds of rain storm. lovely. In other news, the art promoter from L.A. has contacted me again-- finally. Cross your fingers and stand on your toes. To quote LCD sound system, "Daft Punk is playing in my house, my house."
