Photos: Dutchman's Pipe
Friday, Apr. 12, 2002 @ 2:33 p.m.

Today.

Today is full of possibilities.

What do I most want to do?

I want to be away from kids, and school, and just? well, just be.

But also I want to clean, and cook, and really, REALLY get the junk and clutter and mess out of my apartment and out of my life.

I just haven't been handling things lately. I haven't been handling my life.

So, I took some well meaning advice from Mal, and took the day off. I could have made the semester, but really I have to do what is healthy for me, and an unstressed day is Just what Dr. Madrigle has ordered up for his most important patient.

Enough about that.

*****

The Dutchmen's pipe is blooming! I still cant get over the HUGE salad plate sized maroon and cream mottled blooms.

*I'll stop writing about them and run and take pictures for you instead, be right back*

Ahh here you go!

I'm so proud of these pics, I love playing photographer, and I love my nikon coolpix 775.

This is a shot of a mature Dutchcman's Pipe bud just as it is about to open, they inflate like balloons.

Newly opened Flower with a mature bud behind.

An extremely close macro shot of the orifice that leads to the pipe behind the flower.

*****

Well, I'll talk to you all later.

Bye
