Photos: drawing with paints

I'm a traitor.

So, when I had purchased my Pet Shop Boys, Limited Edition extra bonus disk set of "Release", their new album the other day. I had also listened to a Single of Enrique's Escape. But I didn't get it-- then.

I waited 5 hours and made Bruce drive me back over there and then bought it. So, um the pet shop boys haven't exactly been the only thing to grace my cd player these last few days.

Ok, Corazon, I mean I thought he was cute back in college, but I'm developing a Pongsavahn sized crush on him, currently.

And it's all that little sound in the song 'Escape' a synthesized falsetto "doo--OOO-ooo" It drives me crazy.

Well I finished my little drawing with paints experiment yesterday. I liked it best after my first little pause. I think it has more artistic presence then the finished product.

If you remember the most modern self portrait that Marius did of himself that the Talamasca had on file in the movie "Queen of the damned" that is the style I was aiming for. I did this one straight on since it was my first painted portrait. I'm going to be more ambitious in my pose today.

Last summer was the summer of genealogical research. I'm thinking this summer has evolved into the summer of the self portrait study. Me and Elizabeth agree it's totally NOT a obsessive narcissistic thing to do. No, not at all.

I'm taking melon balls to a barbeque at 1:00.

Hush.

I felt like delving into 1950's American faux cuisine, but wasn't about to do a gelatine salad.. Plus I collect antique kitchen implements, and haven't had a chance?ever, to use my melon ballers.

The honey dew and cantaloup look fab in my green depression glass bowl.
