They are based off of a standard all-purpose flour buttermilk biscuit recipe from Martha. But really they are all my own. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 cup oat flour 1/2 cup barley flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda a scant 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons fructose or 1 tablespoon sugar. 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter cut in pieces 1/4 -1/3 cup buttermilk Combine all dry ingriedients. Cut butter into flour mixture until it is a texture similar to course meal to split peas. Toss the flour mixture lightly with the buttermilk. DO NOT stir or over work. Press onto oatflour dusted parchment lined cookie sheet, and score into squares with knife. Slightly seperate to allow for rising while baking. Bake for 10-13 minutes. YUMMY. YUMMMMMY. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMY. I swear they are so to die for. Love to you all. P.S. I'm thinking that flour combination is going to become my pastry standard, cause it is so luscious. Another layer of added flavour on my next pie. WE ALL FALL DOWN
