As far as Saturdays go, I'm usually up early. Rip raring to go for this day that belongs to ME. It does not belong to work. It does not belong to anybody. It is wholly and solely my possession. My dominion to preside over and do with as I see fit. My bastion to exercise my patriarchal authority over. In short "I love Saturdays!" (Which incidentally is a great Erasure song, Corazon. In case you didn't know, a small part of Corazon's hell would contain the endless den of Erasure and Pet Shop boys, my two VERY favorite bands, consequently, as best friends we find it prudent not to often drift into the topic of our very individual musical tastes.)

So, I had NO alcohol last night but still feel the ravaging headache of a hangover this morning. However I did have sugar, I tell you more and more I am coming to believe sugar is the physical manifestation of satin on this earth! But that is a tirade I'll not delve into now. ;) Anyway. My coffee this morning is thick and strong, and has a spoonful of Mexican Vanilla thrown in for an added flavor that which I first sipped nearly sent me over into a spiritual catharsis a rapture of sheer joy at the flavor that had been created in my cup. Ambrosial I tell you.

Am-bro-sial!

If I was html editor savvy enough to do it I'd make that blink and wink at you too.

My first thoughts this morning? To grab my paints the little 8" x 10" piece of clay board that will be my canvas and to rush out to my corner and paint the Conoco station there in quick bold brush strokes or color outlined in black. I have not idea why that corner has been calling to me for days to be painted, and why psyche would want to paint something that is going to be so full of perspective challenges, and something that to my fully awake brain seems a rather mundane subject. Even being mindful of all of that, I still find myself being drawn to go paint it. To sketch it with paints.

I want to go hang out with my friend Jeff down in Clearlake today but I have an appointment at Honda at 1. They are replacing my cd changer, as the one I have tends to skip on acceleration and often doesn't even realize there is a disk in it. Hopefully this new changer will also read the burned disks my friends have made for me. And won't be so snarky about the disks I have that are not PRISTINE. My other players play them just fine. So I was adding up my receipts for all the warranty work I've had done so far and it's approaching the $3,000 mark. Honda is NOT going to want to warranty there pre-owned vehicles after I'm done getting my money out of this policy. :)

I'm feeling the urge to cook Thai. I want to make Rhad gnah. It's actually ethnically Chinese, but has been adopted by the Thais and made there own. It's one of my absolute favorites. It consisits of a variety of meats, the more the better. Pork, chicken, beef, shrimp, squid, mussels with a vegetable that I believe is called gai lan very quickly braised in a sauce made from a Yellow Bean Thai condiment, a bit of oyster sauce, some golden mountain sauce and fish sauce. Then it is eaten over these fresh broad rice noodles that have been steamed to perfection and topped with some sugar(from satan) and some Nam plah prik (Thai fish sauce with chilies) and some thinly sliced Serrano chilies that have been steeped in heated vinegar. It's a good thing, but we will have to see if that is one of the things this ruler of his Saturday, really wants to spend time doing.
