The night was like any other. Interspersed with me getting up to pee, a sleepless bit after a confounding nightmare. Waking with the alarm, and oddly being ready to get up, so I did. I went to the kitchen put some 12 grain bread in the toaster, went into the bathroom, did battle with some snot stuck to the back of my throat, went back into the living room to be confronted with a ceiling full of smoke, rounding into the kitchen to see flames shooting out of the toaster and licking the bottom of a cabinet door. I pulled the pin on the fire exstinguisher in a clumsy manner and promptly covered the toaster and my kitchen with a heavy white powder. I'm glad my dad is protective like that and insisted on leaving me with an extinquisher and that I new how to use it. (thank you nmsu residence life) The rest of the day was all rather non-descript. 'They' are calling me "Fire Marshall Bill" at work.
