I don't frequent Starbucks.

I prefer my own brew or just about any independent coffee house's brew over the buckmeisters. However, the convenience of a Starbucks on virtually every other street corner is a big draw. And just because I prefer other coffee houses over them doesn't mean I will not one day work for them. I mean with a benefits package like they offer and pay starting several notches above what I make as a Teacher now? Come on, who wouldn't? But I'm tangenting.

So, Yeah, the Habibi and I were drinking a juice, not a smoothy, over at the Jamba juice in the village, which has one of the Starbucks on every other street corner next to it, when I noticed a poster for my favorite elixir of life, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe grown in the shade of lemon trees, imparting the beans themselves with a light gossamer essence of lemon. MMMMmmmmm, nummy. Now Starbucks has had Ethiopian coffees for as long as I can remember, but this was the first time I became aware of their possessing the single origin bean of Yirgacheffe. My super ego ran, pushed, and bulldozed it's way to my frontal lobes and shouted at me that they probably started carrying it cause of all my odes to it. Now really, someone is stuck on their caffeinated little selves.

Hugs.
