mine eyes have beheld what doth make my heart murmur

She is working on something sooooooooo incredibly cool.

I've always known, as have many of us, that she's entirely brilliant, but the glimpses of what is to come that I spied this night sent me over the edge. Everything about them cries out in testimony to the towering creative force that she is. But as impressed as I am, if I truly gaze inward, my admiration is partially motivated by selfish reasons. There's a certain amount of prestige that comes with counting such a one amongst your friends. And even, and this is the most terribly selfish of all, even the hope that some of her brilliance will ebb into my own creative processes inspires a part of my admiration. Though our mediums are worlds apart, I still strive for such an overwhelmingly complete transformation in my own process as she has brought about.

Mal's oh so brave. She's taken that leap into the abyss of creation giving herself over completely to it. Me, I'm still finding my path. I think I know where it lies. Now I have to find the wherewithal to leap firmly onto it, planting both feet squarely in it's verdant, moss lined current, and emphatically embracing the flow, letting it sweep me away.
