fill, sand, gesso, fill, sand, gesso

I know in a previous entry I trashed out the asian markets here in Albuquerque. The big fancy one, Talin World Market, It's alright, but it's way overpriced and getting just a plain, round bottomed carbon steel walk there was a nightmare. So like I said, it's the fancy one, but it's meat cabinets have meat I wouldn't even buy to stew up for the dogs. There is this other one though, 99 on gibson and San Mateo. I wasn't impressed the first time. but all of the sudden theyhave their act together. Lots of great veggies, spotlessly clean meat facilities. Meat that actually looks fresh and appealing. Regular, round bottomed, carbon steel woks of every size imaginable. And a whole hell of a lot cheaper then Talin. I'll definately be trading there. What's more it's even just down the street from me.

I've really got to get back on the posting pictures bandwagon.

So Merlin, my little black shitzu male, the little lion dogs as they are called, I can so understand where they get this name. So many times his mannerisms appear as those of a chinese lion dancer! I can definately see where they patterened their coriography from. I'm worried about him though, every now and again his back legs just fall out from underneath him. He's old, but so very spry now that he has dropped 6 pounds. I want to get him a beeping ball. I think his cataracts are a bit acvanced, either that or his bangs or too long, but not long enough to put in a top knot yet, but anyway, I figure the beeping ball will allow him to still play fetch as his eyesite continues to deteriorate.

When I was in college, Corazon made me promise I would NOT become one of those little old gay men with a heard of small dogs for company. Lately I've not felt that is all that bad of a situation. I'm content to comehome cook dinner, play fetch with the dogs, paint, chat on the internet, write in hear, see my nearest and dearest friends that I moved to Albuquerque to be with.

This process whore has really gotten into the preperation of these panels for my alter paintings. I've been lovingly filling their blemishes, sanding, gessoing, filling blemishes again, they are going to be pristine paining surfaces. I've seen the next in the series, another nebulous structure, "God seperating the Light from the Darkness" I wrote of it a couple of days ago. I think I will create an online advertisement. Free to good home, original artist paintings on theme of creation, must be hung in main chapel, alter, or sanctuary. Condition: must be lit to artists specifications. Preferential placement given to earthen or adobe churches. (the church I saw my paintings in, it was an adobe.)
