I woke up at 5 this morning with fears the boogeyman was going to get me. Mia nuzzled closer and I layed there trying to relax not able to remember what was such a terrifying dream. I straightened out my spine, squared my hips, repositioned my pillow and began the lords prayer, mantra style. Just as I was about to drift back off into sleep, and maybe I had been sleeping lightly the heater came on (thanks to the new programable thermostat) and my bedroom became too warm to comfortably continue sleeping in. So I was up by 7, still havn't drank my coffee, as I like the idea of slipping back into bed. I browned some pork for posole and it's bubbling on the stove now, rich with red chili pods, chicken stock, and cumin. We always have posole at Christmas but somehow it didn't happen this year and I've missed it.
