I saw an old friend from college last night. She was in town for some random business meeting and Bothhandz called me to let me know. It was nice. We went to the flying star downtown at 8th and Silver. It's by far the coolest location in the city. Fucking awesome restaurant design with this HUGE sweeping spiral staircase as the central design motif, by which all other elements are arranged. Anyway, yeah, I was bothered at first about leaving my house after eight to go see Kim, but it ended up being a really fantastic time. I called Corazon to see if she remembered Kim, but she didn't. Sometimes I'm too good at remembering obscure connections about how people know each other. Kim couldn't remember Corazon either, but did remember Jerry, their common link. Anyway, I couldn't get wound down after words, even with the glass of shiraz and a couple of benadryl and was awake till after midnight. Today is going to be a long day. I have the principal's grandson for the first hour and a half. Lovely. I love bothhandz so much. The whole outing was really worth the while just to spend time with her. I love bothhandz hugs. Soooooooooo healing.

Corazon and I were going to go see a production tonight called the "Nigerian email scam, scam." It's looking like that might not end up happening. Corazon and I both are feeling a bit puny. Oh well, we will see. There is still happy hour and lovely Italian to be had Friday night at Vivace, on the hill, with the coworkers. Corazon is going to swing by two. It should be a fun time. I really like one of my coworkers. She is moving back to California at the end of the year though. It makes me sad, I think we could become great friends. She's one of those people I've met in my life that I just KNEW I had to develop a friendship with. Those magnetic friends. Those friends where you are sure there is some greater force that has brought you together. She's fun, we will make noontime dashes for Java, or just exchange chocolates cause were both such addicts and know the other will probably be able to supply. We even talk education and the ills that plague the system. Food, food is our true common ground though. Above all else we always end up talking about food at some point or another. Sarah is a lovely, lovely person.

Flood, no, Jose Louis Maldonado is not my given name. At a recent teaching conference with the afore mentioned Sarah, we were feeling rather playful and created each other's name tags. I drew on hers some whimsical design and when I looked up she had prepared mine, as Jose Louis Maldonado. So, that's how that came about.

Non-descript, thanks for the kindness towards me in the Houston teacher entry. Hugs, to you.

Love to you all.
