those puma skates with the oversized trucks and canary yellow wheels ROCKED
Monday, Apr. 09, 2007 @ 10:55 a.m.

I had the strangest dream . . . I'm the oddball out in a rather athletic family the one who's body never really seamed to get it all right all at once. I played soccer for 4 years and never once scored a goal. 6 years of gymnastics, it was really just a fun place to go hang out. Anyways, so I had this dream last night where I was playing some sort of street ball/kick ball. The bases were in a straight line and we were on pavement next to a highway overpass. I was playing in my brothers old puma rollerskates, the rockin (now retro) pair with the oversized canary yellow wheels, circa 1981 or earlier. Anyways, my fellow players were anonomous, but they were amazed at this fat guy catching kick after kick and in rollerskates to boot all while skating backwards piroueting to nimbly avoid collisions. I don't know, my family is full of guys who ALMOST made it to major league baseball and such, and we play sometimes when we all get together, well when we were young, I think this dream had something to do with that, cause here they were the recognized family experts but I could still get them out. Either that or the dream was a comentary on how I don't feel like my body works anymore, my back hurts, my knees ache. I know, I know, loose the weight.
