hey! i just finished reading dune. i attempted to watch the movie last night. ummm, it was too much for me...it seemed like a lot had been changed. it was david lynch (who i love) and i really couldn't deal with it being that random from the book...so i am going to try again. anyway, what the f%$# did spice have to do with space travel in the book? i either missed something or they made something major up. and what's with the floating octopus-like guild people? urgh!!!!

so, i read up on dune and figured out how spice helps with space travel. i was very confused. i am still trying to get through the movie.
