Spring Break!
2001-03-09 @ 22:06:23

The anticipation is over!

I've already kicked my shoes off, thrown off that DAMN tie, and slipped my most comfy shorts on.

Spring Break is here!

Those little goof ball kids think it is for them. HA!

I assure you spring break is for us teachers.

I have a smile on my face, just thinking that I have 9 days of uninterrupted freedom and frivolity staring me in the face.

I know most people my age, 24, really probably don't imagine there ideal spring break being spent with there mom and dad.

Ok, ok, maybe it is not ideal, but it sure is going to be fun. They are driving 12 long hours, as I type to come spend the week with me.

We're going to the museums. . .

Monet and Renoir are making a special appearance and the museum of fine arts, along with a much anticipated star wars exhibit. (on my part, not theirs)

Last summer they came to see the Romanov Jewels: Treasures from the Kremlin at the Natural History Museum. It was a BREATHTAKING show! I saw objects I had only read about in books. (I'm a Romanov junkie) When I was younger I fancied myself the reincarnation of someone close to the Romanovs.

Currently the Natural History Museum is featuring treasures on display from Beijing. The show is titled, The secret world of the Forbidden City. Needless to say I can not wait!

So, I love my parents. They always insist on helping there children in someway. This trip we are focusing on refinishing my furniture. I inherited several pieces from my grandmother. They are either mahogany or maple, but currently the wood is hiding under several layers of white paint.

We are having a barbeque on Sunday, they want to meet my friends. Or at least that is what they say. LOL Secretly I think they want to know if I am dating someone. I guess they have not put two and two together and figured out that the Canadian pilot I talk of so often is also my boyfriend.

Ummmm.... so they know I am gay.

I just don't know if they know I am gay AND I am dating. LOL, maybe this trip will be an eye opener.

Well, that is what is happening in my life at the moment.

Love to Jet, and my girls.

I will try to update soon.

I have a lot in my head to put down.
