Heaven and Earth
My dear friend Maribel came from Austin for the holiday. We had a relaxing time, lounging about my brothers house, cooking the feast, and of course the eating. OH the eating that was done! It felt so good to have her near again. She's working on her Phd in curriculum and instruction. Right now painting is the most important thing to me, but I know I want to continue on the path to an advanced degree at some point. I finally looked into art conservation. Fuck. You have to have a BFA in fine art, atleast a year of organic chemistry, and the 2 american schools that offer the degree only except 3 students a year. Right now, I'm thinking . . . masters in art education, followed by a Phd in art therapy. I have such great role models in my friends. (wink, Mal and Maribel)
