Pollock, Fractals, and I
Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007 @ 10:19 a.m.

oh my gosh, I'm feeling more and more as though pollock IS my artist brother-- scientists have recently used very sophisticated computer fractal analyis of his paintings. This analysis has, in fact, identified fractals in his works. I'm longing now to stand in front of pollock to look closely at the surface to trace the tangles with my eyes. To carress and fondle them with my vision till they vibrate and release their secrets to me. I regret not studying them more closely when I was in Houston... it will be a long time comeing before I get to see another exhibit of such magnitude.
