I was in the spotlight today.

A position I am neither here nor there about.

Sure I get a bit nervous, but once the pressure is on I just go with the flow.

My school has HUGE magnet school grants from the Federal Government, through the Justice Department. Twice a year they come to make sure the building is utilizing these grant moneys the way the original grant was intended.

I was in the lab today with my 2nd graders. Doing a lesson on how a cacti stores water in it's fleshy parts for times of drought. They each got to take apart a aloe leaf to see where it stores it's moisture, and how the skin of the plant helps to keep the moisture from evaporating out. Then as a special treat we made cactus crunch candy. (They really liked that)

I was so impressed with the kids today!

And so were the visitors.

They shined.

I shined.

The area superintendent took great notice of me.

Today.

Today, was a good day.
