The question of Torture. . .
Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005 @ 8:57 a.m.

I just finished watching frontline, 'the question of torture.' Where are our ethics? Where are our morals, be they judeo-christian, secular judicial, or any other belief system about the expectations of our conduct as humans? During the Iraqi, Abugrave scandal a lot of people were throwing around the charge of 'war chriminal' at Rumsfeld and several other high ranking officials. I remember being shocked and horrified at the events but not willing to believe that the corruption of basic war time conduct existed so far up, as it were. Now, we have soldiers, independent of the Abugrave incident coming forward to tell of routine 'interogation' techniques. Like the use of dogs, induced hypothermia, broken ribs, hands, bones, feet being routinely smashed with the back of an axe. I'm sorry, Bush says we were not there for oil (liar) but that we were there to rescue an imprisoned people from a ruthless and brutal dictator who tortured his people. I'm sorry, but I'm left wondering EXACTLY what Bush considers torture. Fucking idiots. I guess America's ego is sooooooooooooo inflated that we're even above the Geneva convention. I mean we ARE Americans. Screw you if you get in the way. Were doomed to be cut off from the rest of the world like a cancerous tumour.
